Featuring the works of our 2 founders @shannonlewisceramics & @chef_vs_clay plus over 20 studio members, this exhibition aims to bring together an amazing range of diverse and unique pieces that are made at our studio.

Wentworth Falls School of Arts

Shannon Lewis Ceramics will be showcasing and selling her sculptural as well as functional tablewares, at this Annual Fair. Now in its fourth year, started as a cooperative venture between local Blue Mountains potters and the Nolan Gallery in Katoomba to provide an opportunity to showcase and market the work of potters living and working in the Blue Mountains and beyond. Following the success of the first three Fairs, and in particular the overwhelming response in 2022, the event has expanded and will in 2023 be held in the Wentworth Falls School of Arts - a lovely restored Arts and Crafts era building right on the Highway at Wentworth Falls, with plenty of parking behind the building.

Following up from the success of the initial workshop, we're proud to announce that Sake & Ceramics will be returning for a second session this month. Developed in collaboration with Oak Barrel's Tom Hart (@goochyloochy), "Sake & Ceramics" will combine an introductory ceramics workshop with a premium sake tasting. Join Shannon Lewis (@shannonlewisceramics) and Daniel Mulligan (@chef_vs_clay) for this one-of-a-kind (and very limited capacity) event.

We are super excited to present Sake & Ceramics: a series of Tastings and Workshops developed in collaboration with The Oak Barrel. Taking inspiration from the ever popular "paint-and-sip" sessions combining canvas workshops with wine tastings, these sessions will instead combine an introductory ceramics workshop with a premium sake tasting. Hosted by Shannon Lewis (@shannonlewisceramics) and Daniel Mulligan (@chef_vs_clay) alongside the Oak Barrel's own Tom Hart (@goochyloochy), this one-of-a-kind (and very limited capacity) event should be like none you've seen before.

Along side 35 local ceramic artists, Shannon, Shinhee and Daniel will be exhibiting their most prized pieces in this show to celebrate the opening of the revitalised/renovated Bondi Pavilion. Join us for Exhibition opening drinks on Sunday 25 from 12-2. The exhibition continues until October 9.

We are so excited that Hilary Jones, our home-grown teapot master, will be coming to Clay Cartel to run a weekend-long teapot masterclass in October! This will be a small, intimate workshop in our lovely studio in Marrickville. You'll get 10 hours of tuition and guidance from Hilary and plenty of individual time to troubleshoot issues. There are very limited tickets available, so drop us a line if you are interested.

Suitable for potters with intermediate to advanced throwing skills.

Participants will make 2 small teapots.

Clay and firing included.
